Our shop floor upstairs is a haven for customers wanting to browse in peace and quiet, unless they visit on a Saturday of course, which is often rather like coming across an impromptu party..
I took this photo the other day, at a particular time in the afternoon when, on a sunny day, the sun streams in and brings with it the most beautiful golden light. I relish these moments and often use the time to catch my breath after a busy lunchtime serving customers.
The friends Julia and I have made through having the shop has been an unexpected joy. Never did we realise that we'd make so many wonderful connections through our customers and as our team has grown, so has our circle.
Many of you of course know of our upstairs floor where we display our womenswear collections, bags, shoes and jewellery but still, after over ten years of trading, we still get a look of surprise from one or two customers who had no idea we had this haven on the first floor.. We have toyed with the idea of diplaying more clothes on the ground floor, making it more obvious to customers that we actually sell clothes but that idea is always quickly dismissed as truthfully, we feel there's something really precious about coming into a space to try on clothes, in an unhurried, peaceful and private atmosphere.
We have an airy and spacious changing room, tea and coffee on offer and a comfortable sofa for husbands, partners and friends. If you need special assistance please feel free to contact us in advance as we would be very happy to make alternative arrangements to accomodate you.
My team and I are always on hand to offer advice and we love nothing more than getting to know you a little, helping you put a look together, finding something that suits and fits you perfectly.
